Asian Paradise lost. Perhaps our decision to head south in light of current events in Japan was premature, but I just couldn’t see us traveling further up north wondering “what if“. With signs of alarmingly growing radiation levels as far away as Bangkok, we got two tickets to New Zealand last night and are flying out today, leaving Asia all too soon with a broken heart. China and Laos have to wait for a distant point in time. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll have a chance to make a trip to Indonesia before heading home in May.

March 17, Hanoi to Auckland
