22pounds: The exhilaration that comes from submerging yourself in new surroundings, completely out of your element - it's addictive! For us, it became an ideal nourishment for curiosity and an absolute favorite remedy for restlessness. Documenting our travels started in winter of 2010, when Sebastian and I decided to take time off life as we know it, make long overdue dream a reality and go vagabonding for 6 months. We had extensive backpacking across Europe behind us but what lay ahead promised to be a wild animal to tame - we were to loose ourselves in India and SE Asia. Architectural sights were our primary game, but we gained so much more than we signed up for... Long term travel changes you...no doubt. It forces you to purge life of all unnecessary crap, material and otherwise, and in return delivers simplicity and incredible clarity of the mind - uncluttered state of being which, upon returning home, you have to nurture as if it was an endangered species. And that urge to be on the road...it doesn't go away...even as it momentarily lays dormant...
